PAST

It would be impossible to share each moment we have had with all our past experimenters but we want to give them space. To remember our 24-hour excursions together and to celebrate in all that they have created with us.

[The experiment} was great, especially the fact that my team as individuals are very different people but as we came together and put our ideas together, we were able to create one whole piece of work and I think it was awesome.

I was lucky enough to be in apart of an incredible team. Where everyone listened to everyone's ideas. Story was the most important thing. And everyone was on board to tell the story right and in the best possible way we could. So if one disagreed with another there were in depth conversations of the story and getting from different points and why it would or wouldn't work. Never in our group did we get upset or fight with one another because of one person not getting ones way. We were a team. And it was a incredible thing.

I enjoyed my group! We all worked together really well and all of us were into the project - I didn't feel like any of us were forced to be there. We were all motivated to create and perform our play which was nice.

I loved the experience I have gained since spending a whole 24hrs inside of McInnis! I was brand new to Eastern and Actor's Lab this fall as a freshman, I never imagined myself ever being surrounded by such loving, goofy, wonderfully talented people who accept and love me as their family. this weekend was phenomenal, it challenged and pushed my limits physically and emotionally and the art that was created on the stage was a perfect representation of the time and effort my team and I put into our piece. It gave me confidence as an actress and i wouldn't trade it for the world. I CAN'T WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR!!!

"This is the most unique and profound method of artistic/creative expression I have ever experienced."

"It's an addictingly thrilling process to come in completely blank, work with a group of people I may or may not know very well, and come out of it with a living, breathing stage production. I love being part of making that magic happen and seeing the different shapes it takes from year to year."

From the very first moment Team Norris was all in the room together, I felt like we were all the same mental and emotional place. We were able to be vulnerable and honest with each other, we respected each others ideas, opinions, and criticisms, and it ended up creating a piece that reflected all four of us equally.

I love the people and the process. Every year, I'm floored at how well the process works to create meaningful art that resonates and fully honors all the collaborators in the room. It's fun, it's challenging, it's scary, but it's ultimately so rewarding.

I loved playing with my team. The exercises our director lead us in to uncover characters and movement. Going for broke!
